Julie Y. Kim Senior Manager, Emerging Business Group, Geller & Company Ms. Kim is an accomplished senior finance leader with over 15 years of experience in diverse corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and treasury positions at Fortune 50 companies as well as senior banking roles in top international fi nancial institutions. She is a recognized leader in project and structured finance, an area in which she has won multiple awards, extensive business strategy and development, financial planning and deal execution experience in the telecom, technology and media sectors.
Prior to joining Geller & Company, Ms. Kim founded and served as a Partner at Techfinance LLC, a consulting and financial management firm that assisted companies and entrepreneurs identify,
plan, fund and implement initiatives for growth and profitability. While there, Ms. Kim developed business and financing plans, engaged in debt and equity capital raising, created financial performance measurement tools and completed a $40 million merger transaction between two global telecommunications companies.
Before founding Techfinance LLC, some of Ms. Kim?s prior positions included serving as Director, Head of Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Americas for ANZ Investment Bank where she formulated and implemented the bank?s strategy for the telecom, media and entertainment sectors. Ms. Kim has also served as the Director, Structured Finance, Americas for Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale where she was responsible for the origination and execution of project financings in North America and Latin America. Some of Ms. Kim?s other positions have included serving as Vice President, Global Project Finance at Citibank and Director, International Treasury and Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Verizon Communications.
Ms. Kim speaks French and Korean and has lived and worked throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and South America. Ms. Kim serves on the Advisory Committee of the Hatchery, a venture collaboration network serving the New York technology community. She is also on the Audit Committee of the Board of the New York Asian Women?s Center. Ms. Kim earned a BA
in Economics and International Development from Washington University and an MBA in Finance from Duke University. |
