Daniel J. Schultz Co-Founder & Managing Director, DFJ Gotham Ventures For over two decades Danny has invested in and financed start-ups and public companies across the technology, media and communications landscape. His experience spans his tenure as a senior banker with Lehman Brothers to co-founding DFJ Gotham Ventures in 1999.
Danny focuses on investing in financial services, digital media, network infrastructure and mobile technologies. He is on the board of Pivot Solutions, Magnolia Broadband, ViVOtech and Worktopia, and prior to their acquisition, XOsoft (acquired by CA) and Massive (acquired by Microsoft). Danny has also invested successfully in SMARTS (acq by EMC), Insulair (acq by Georgia Pacific) and Active Impulse Systems (acq by Phillips).
He is on the board of the Venture Industry Association of New York and is an advisor to the NYC Seed Investment Fund and Yissum, the technology transfer unit of The Hebrew University (Jerusalem). Danny is a graduate of Columbia University, a native New Yorker and can frequently be found around 10pm somewhere in Westchester playing ice hockey.
