Investment Partner, Khosla Ventures
Nate is an investment partner at Khosla Ventures, where he focuses on opportunities in the consumer technology space. Prior to joining KV, he spent 15 years in marketing leadership roles at some of the world’s most beloved consumer brands including Nest/Dropcam, GoPro, The North Face, and Burton Snowboards.
Most recently, Nate managed the brand transition at Dropcam during the Nest/Google acquisition. During his tenure at the company, he also developed a brand-centric go-to-market strategy and built the user generated content engine. Previously, at GoPro, Nate was the first brand marketing hire and led the team responsible for product marketing, go-to-market strategy, media strategy and campaign development. Nate also was the first brand marketing hire at The North Face, where he re-oriented their business on an activity based model and had the Herculean task of making The North Face relevant to a new generation of consumers.
Since moving to the Bay Area in 2008, Nate has spent his spare time advising and investing in start-ups. He also serves as an advisor and limited partner to several successful venture funds.
Nate holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. He also holds master’s degree in business administration from Babson College. In his spare time, Nate enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, and collecting and listening to old vinyl, in addition to spending time with his family.
